PM Investment Analyst – Wealth Management
Job Summary:
Responsible for trading select client accounts and daily monitoring of equity, fixed income and commodity markets. Participates in the writing of marketing materials and the creation of client and prospect presentations. Assists in the updating and maintenance of certain software programs related to portfolio management, as supervised by the CIO.
Provides secure, accurate, responsive, and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers at all times.
Primary objective of this position is to be a trusted advisor to every internal and external customer. Inspires confidence and builds lasting relationships by consistently exhibiting each of the trusted advisor skills in order to help our customers identify and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Executing trades and generating trade reports for select client accounts.
- Examining and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators to determine suitable investment strategies.
- Monitor financial press and track market trends, opportunities and risks.
- Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and products that could enhance/diversify portfolios.
- Communicate with fund companies, software providers, and other vendors/industry professionals.
- Performing due diligence – both initial and ongoing – for solutions on investment management platform.
- Updating/Maintaining account review, planning and other software.
- Creating and maintaining reports and worksheets in support of the trust department’s account review and trading activities, including maintenance of trading models.
Other Job Functions:
- Participate in the trust department’s Investment Sub-Committee meetings.
- Creation and coordination of client and prospect presentation material.
- See that the highest fiduciary standards are maintained within the personal trust group in order to mitigate risk for the organization.
- Attend seminars, webinars, conferences, and / or workshops to keep informed as to the latest industry trends and maintain certification.
- Other duties as requested by his/her supervisor, other member of portfolio management team, or other representatives of the bank.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics or finance preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in banking, finance, or investments.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software with a particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven superior writing/communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to read and understand regulations, policies and procedures; uses grammatically correct and clear oral and written communication
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work well within team environment presenting a positive customer service demeanor and attitude
- Must comply with all bank policies and procedures that are job related and/or consistent with business necessity.
General Physical Demands and Workplace Conditions:
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects within the immediate work station.
- Must be able to walk, sit or stand frequently, up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to tolerate encounters with coworkers and customers under the following conditions:
- Atmospheric pollutants or allergens, including but not limited to fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation;
- Changes in indoor/outdoor temperatures encountered in travel between buildings and branches.
- Other physical attributes required to successfully perform the essential functions above include finger agility, talking, and listening.
